Sauces to Make Whatever You Cook Taste Crazy-Good
If you’re looking for a scrumptious sauce for your grilled chicken or pork chops, you’re in the right place. Whatever you’re grilling up, we have a sauce that will take it from blah to bangin’.
Is wing sauce the same as bbq sauce?
No, BBQ sauce and wing sauce (also known as Buffalo sauce) are not the same. There’s a lot of confusion about this one (and a lot of sauce abuse in the kitchen), so we’re going to break it down to help you remember forevermore.
Think of wing sauce like hot sauce’s full-bodied cousin. It is typically made of a hot pepper and vinegar base (just like hot sauce) with the addition of butter or butter flavor to tone down the heat - perfect for tossing on your wings right after you cook ‘em. Buffalo sauce has branched out from wings recently and can be spotted on chips, pretzels, and some other brave munchies, but its uses are, arguably, limited.
BBQ sauce, on the other hand, has a sweeter flavor profile and is good on pretty much anything. Usually made from a tomato base (don’t get us started on the tomato vs. mustard debate), BBQ sauces feature flavors like honey, hickory, and even fruit. Sure, you could slap it on your wings, but it’s also great on pulled pork, ribs, pork chops, potatoes, pizza… like we said, pretty much anything.
If you’re looking for flavor you can add before cooking, check out our dry rubs, glazes, and marinades.
